I was born in 1977 in the center of VAN. After completing my primary, secondary and high school education in Van, I started my medical education at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1995.
After graduating in 2001, I started my General Surgery specialization at Bezm-i Alem Vakıf Gureba Training and Research Hospital.
In 2007, I worked as a General Surgery specialist at Siirt State Hospital for about 2 years as part of compulsory service.
After compulsory service, I started working as chief assistant at Istanbul Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital. During my tenure, I completed my master’s degree in Liver Transplantation, Bile Duct and Pancreatic Surgery at İnönü University Liver Transplantation Institute for 1 year.
In addition to being responsible for the Liver Transplantation unit at Haydarpaşa Numune Training and Research Hospital, I performed many operations in the field of Advanced laparoscopic surgery.
One year after receiving the title of Associate Professor in 2015, I founded European Obesity Surgery and started working as an Obesity and Metabolism surgery specialist.
As of December 2021, I have been appointed as a faculty member at Nişantaşı University with the position of Professor.
